We were so excited to work with the St. Louis Cardinals on this :30 second commercial. The ad is focused on the Cardinals game day promotion for the Sunday, May 19 game versus the Milwaukee Brewers.
“High Socks Sunday” will allow kids under the age of 15 to own a pair of high sport socks.
This was a fun shoot for us because of the combination of great locations and people we worked with. Filming in Busch Stadium was a unique treat for us.
Everyone we filmed was such a pleasure to work with. Owner Bill DeWitt, Jr., General Manager John Mozeliak, Cardinals Outfielder Jon Jay, Mike Shannon, and Fredbird.
This commercial will be aired in the St. Louis region through May 19th. If you see if on-air, Tweet us and let us know what you think!
Each member of the Pounds Media team can proudly hang a degree from Greenville College on the wall (except Ruthie Sue she’s 30 credits short). So when we were approached by Greenville for this project we were ecstatic.
Greenville wanted to help promote two of their Masters programs and their adult degree completion program. We thought that telling the story of three students was the best approach. Our latest story was that of 1st grade teacher Sheri Dejaynes of Greenville, IL. She wanted to learn more strategies and have a deeper understanding of reading techniques for her students. The Greenville Masters of Education in Reading was perfect for her. Our second story focused on Katrina Bridges form Bethalto, IL. She is a graduate of the Greenville College Adult Degree Completion with a emphasis on Organizational Leadership program. She has a great story about how she rose the corporate ladder because of her new degree. Our first story was Gregg Gibson, a pastor and IT Manager from Fairview Heights, IL. He is completing his Master of Science in Management Practice degree. This program is tailored to working students who use their organization in the majority of their projects. We want to thank Sheri, Katrina and Gregg for sharing their story with us. We also like to thank Greenville College for giving us the chance to share these stories with you.
After 15 days, 40 Vines, 2 holidays, a 24 hour extension and a St. Louis snow storm we can officially say we have a winner to our first ever #MySTL Vine Competition.
As a quick reminder, each Vine was judged in three categories: creativity, technique and relevance to the theme (#MySTL). To create drama we’ll announce 3rd place first.

The big winner of the Vine competition had a perfect score in all three catorgies. Vinning at Bush Stadium plays very well in St. Louis and there was even a bit of comedy.

On Thursday November 15 we were delighted to capture the Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Party at 2720 Cherokee in St. Louis.
The event was hosted by The Riverfront Times. This was a local celebration of the 30th year of Beaujolais Nouveau. The crowd was treated to free samples of wine, music, food and magic.
The highlight of the evening was the magic show by local magicians Joshua Weidner and Andy G.
Our goal was to make the viewer aware of every aspect of this event and ultimately want to try the wine.
We filmed using our Cannon 5D with a 50, 20 and 85mm prime lenses on both a monopod and a slider. We captured audio on camera with a Rode shotgun mic. Editing was done in Final Cut Pro.
The song is “Romance in the New World” by Porno Galactica ( http://psrecords.net/utopia-park/ )
