Pounds Media is a St. Louis based video production company focused on telling brand stories. St. Louis film company Pounds Media was founded in 2011 by video producers Jered and Jordan Schneider with the belief that every company has a story worth telling. That is still our focus today. We are a small and nimble video production team that can take on projects of all shapes and sizes, and we have worked with clients all over the country, including Emerson, GE, Caterpillar and the St. Louis Cardinals.
We look at each step in the storytelling process as a creative collaboration between you and our team. This is where you bring your goals, vision, and desires to the table. Don’t hold back, let’s hear your craziest idea and see if we can make that a reality. In video pre-production, we begin by distilling a brand, business, or service down to its key components, and in doing so, we find the building blocks of our story.
In this phase of our video production services, we take what we’ve learned in our collaboration phase, and move it forward. In the production phase, we find compelling ways to tell your story through visuals and sound. Our modern approaches allow us to get unique and creative shots that will highlight your key story elements, and make your video stand out.
After we have captured our visual and audio elements, we transition together into the execution phase. In post-production, we take all of our elements, visuals, and sounds, and build our story in a collaborative way. This is where you get to see your ideas, hand drawn sketches, and notes come to life! Once we finish this step, your video gets to go out into the world.
Jered helps take projects from a twinkle in a client’s eye to an expectation exceeding reality. When he is not behind a camera or editing, Jered can often be found passionately watching or poorly playing soccer, pairing great food with cheap beer, or reading a book.
Jordan makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes and crunching all the numbers. When she is not knee deep in Quickbooks, Jordan can be found running in various parts of St. Louis, multitasking over a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle while re-rewatching Dawson’s Creek, or taking photos of her maltipoo, Ruthie Sue.
Mike applies his passion for video and his creative eye to give Pounds Media videos a unique look and feel. When not behind a camera, Mike is usually behind a camera, as the owner of the wedding film company Mike Dalton Films, as well as on Periscope, where Mike has become a celebrity. It has only slightly gone to his head.
Jake’s understanding of the storytelling aspect of post-production is a big asset for the Pounds Media team. When Jake is not getting his edit on, Jake likes to read theology books, binge watch Netflix, and dominate in board games.
